OSHA 10/30 & 7600
Starts - Wednesday, August 17, 2011
Cost - 10 hour - $42.00
           30 hour - $60.00
Length - 5 to 12 weeks
Description - Start with OSHA 10, then, continue on to OSHA 7600 Disaster Site Worker.
                        This class is for Disaster Site Workers who provide skilled support services,
                        (e.g. Electrical utility, demolition, debris removal, or heavy equipment operation)
                        or site clean-up services in response to natural and man-made disasters.
                        Specifically, it is recognized that all workers at disaster sites and regular construction
                        or demolition worksites and be able to inspect, don, and doff air-purifying respirators.
                        This class allows management and labor to be made aware that pre-incident training
                        is essential for ensuring disaster site worker safety and health.

EVITP Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program

Description - This class comprehensively addresses the requirements, regulations, products and
                        strategies which will enable electrical contractors and electricians to master successful,
                        expert, and professional customer relations, installation, and maintenance of Electric
                        Vehicle (EV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) infrastructure across Residential,
                        Commercial & Public Markets.

NICET - FIRE ALARMS

Description - This class is a preparations course for NICET I & II.  Basic to advance Fire Alarm
                        Systems will be covered.  Exam Fee is NOT included!

VERTICAL AXIS WIND TURBINE INSTALLATION

Description - This class will help you gain valuable hands-on experience in the growing field of Wind
                        Turbine technology.  The class will do the actual installation of the Wind Turbines at
                        the Training Center.

PHOTOVOLTAIC INSTALLATION

Length - 6 weeks
Description - This class will help you gain valuable hands on experience in the expanding renewable
                        energy field.  The class will install the Training Center's Photovoltaic array.

GROUNDING AND BONDING
Starts - Thursday, October 20, 2011

Length - 9 weeks
Description - This course is designed to follow the installation the way a contractor and electrical
                        worker would install the grounding and bonding system in actual practice.  Topics
                        covered include "traditional" topics such as service, feeder, and branch circuit
                        grounding and bonding, as well as more specialized topics such as grounding and
                        bonding in health care facilities, hazardous locations, and lighting protection to
                        name a few.

HVAC

Description - This course is a presentation of refrigeration systems, including mechanical applications.

BICSI - LEVEL II - COPPER
Starts - Thursday, December 1, 2011
Cost - $225.00
Length - 13 weeks
Description - This course prepares you to take the BICSI Certification Exam.  It covers cooper
                        terminations and splicing.  There is a fee you pay BICSI to take the certification exam.

PLC

Description - This course builds on the electrical worker's understanding of magnetic motor
                        controls to introduce the concepts of PLCs.

EFFECTIVE PROJECT SUPERVISION 1

Description - This course was developed by NECA to assist on site supervisors.  It is the first of
                        four levels to this course.  It is a prerequisite to taking Level II.

PHOTOVOLTAIC

Description - This course covers the principles of photovoltaics and how to effectively incorporate
                        PV systems into stand-alone or interconnected electrical systems.  You will learn system
                        advantages and disadvantages, site evaluation, component operation, system design

MOTOR CONTROLS
Starts - Wednesday, April 4, 2012

Length - 11 weeks
Description - This course is a great  brush-up on Motor Controls.  There will be hands-on work in the
                        motor control lab.

RIGGING AND LIFTING PRINCIPALS
Starts - Monday, May 14, 2012 (Meets Mondays & Wednesdays)
Cost - $47.00
Length - 4 weeks
Description - During the course of a construction project, the electrical worker is often called
                        upon to deliver equipment and materials to various locations around the job site.
                        There are occasions when equipment and materials are to heavy to be moved by
                        hand and requires the assistance of some type of mechanical device.  This may be
                        as simple as using a chain fall or require the use of a mobile crane.  In either
                        situation properly preparing and rigging the load is paramount.
